Here at KADA South 40 Goldens, we breed farm-raised golden retrievers suitable for family companions as well as hunting dogs.

I have raised and bred livestock for 40 years and have had golden retrievers for over 20. I have always been interested in animal genetics and strive to produce animals with a combination of attributes that are appealing and healthy.

We breed dogs that are family friendly. My dogs are raised around family members and grandchildren to make them well-rounded companions. Having been a lifelong hunter, I wanted to have dogs that possess strong hunting backgrounds, making them suitable as family dogs as well as driven hunting dogs. This combination has made my dogs intelligent, trainable, and as adaptable to chasing pheasants as they are to chasing a ball!
